Do you wanna know what forces help a aircraft fly?
Well on Monday kea did a aircraft experiment. We got split into even groups of four. In my group we had to use flax as a pretend aircraft. We went outside to the courts to test how long and how far it would go.
It was super frustrating because the wind kept blowing it away. We each took turns throwing the flax,Mine went the furthest. It got up to 21 feet.
I enjoyed doing this experiment it was super fun.
What is gravity you ask? Well back in 1666 Isacc Newton was sleeping under a apple tree.When all of a sudden an apple fell on his head. He took a long think about what invisible force made the apple fall. After a long time of thinking he discovered gravity
Kea did a science experiment about gravity. We had to find two different items for example a rubber and a pompom. We had to make sure they were the same height and dropped at the same timing we tried it with ten different objects.
Each time we would drop two items we would write down which one touched the ground first. Our results were that the rubber touched the ground first because it had more weight then the pompom.

We created a QR code so that people could see what we did we found it a lot difficult to make it so Whaea Ocea made it for us. We welcomed Takahe,Hoiho,teacher's and the parents. We even had teachers score us on how well we presented it to the kids,parents and to them as well. But the teachers still had decide over the holidays which group had the best presentation well that's all for today leave a comment if you want.
On a hot,breezy cool day year 4 to 6 had a magnificent trip to jelicoe pools in Onehunga to practice our snorkeling for goat island.Rooms 5 and 4 went first we grabbed our swimming togs and had to get into a straight line but it was more of a squiggly line to me.We got there by bus the road kind of felt a little bumpy as if we were going on rocks. It took about 20 minutes to get there.
Once we got there we quickly changed as fast as flash. After that we lined up on the bench waiting to get our swimming gear. We had to come across a few rules first before going in the pool.Then we tried on our penguin flippers to see if they would fit and we also got masks to see underwater.Next we got put into buddies me and Lose we're buddies we were so excited.
After gathering all our gear we got split into two groups: a boy group and a girl group. The boys got the shallow side but the girls got the deep side of the pool.Once we put on our gear we hoped in it was as deep as the ocean most of them had to tippytoe.Then we had to get in line with your buddy because we had to use these diving boards to swim while putting your head in the water. We also learned all sorts of things like the duck dive and other fun stuff.Later on we started to stop using the boards and just dive by ourselves so this is what we had to do. So you and your buddy have to dive underwater and try to hold your breath and once you come out you blow the mask's mouthguard snorkel thingy and blow as if a volcano is about to erupt.
Then after that last session we got to have a little play in the pool before leaving. Me and my friends Martha,Lose and breeze played tag in the pool. It was so hard because it felt like waves trying to pull us back so it was really hard to run around.Then after a while it was time to hop out like a jumping rabbit we went and got changed as fast as a cheetah the girls finished way before the boys because they kept chitchaing in the changing room so we had to tell them to hurry up because it took them forever.After that we walked in a line all the way to the bus and try to find a seat inside me and my best friend Luminous sat in the middle seats and my other friend sat in the front row. after that it was time to go. I was so tired from all that swimming I nearly fell asleep.Finally after about 20 minutes we arrived at school and finally got to eat. I was starving with hunger.
